First Tooth - The Wait

Currently, Jack Jack appears to have an erupting tooth. His first tooth!!! He seems to be more and more uneasy this days. Always having tantrums. Sigh! He's growing up so fast....

Anyways, there's nothing we can do but to go through teething stage. I can only make it easy for him. It's just that I don't trust plastics anymore - especially the ones that came from China. This is why I can't buy teethers but I've been searching for one that should be "safe". What I do is have him chew on frozen breastmilk. I put expressed milk in ice trays. When it's frozen, I put it in either this or this. It's messy but I'm pretty sure it's safe.

The New Seating

One of the things hubby and I enjoy most is traveling. For me, that includes driving around. Well, I don't just drive around going nowhere. I meant to say that I kind of enjoy driving. Before Jack Jack, I wouldn't care where anybody would sit. And I would count the number of passengers to be 5. Now, I can only drive for 4 persons if Jack Jack is coming along. 2 with Jack Jack and Portia and 1 with hubby, Jack Jack and Portia.

Remember Jack Jack's seat? I moved him to seat up front. This makes him more accessible to me when I'm driving. Hubby sits at the back of Jack Jack's new seat - making us both able to reach for him when he needs something. Actually, the best part of the new seat is Papa's old massager. I never got to remove it from the pickup since I do not have anywhere to move it to. Now, when we're out and about, I put Jack Jack on this seat, turn on the massager and voila! He'd be sleeping in a jiffy!



What a wonderful thing! Maybe we should go for a ride when he doesn't feel like sleeping at night?

My Big Heart

Yipee! I have a big heart?! Oh well, I have always been trying to change my ways to be a better person (and world peace!). This award really touched my heart.

Thank you Jown. You are one big hearted person, too. This award means a lot to me.

Baby Stuff Wishlist

Things doesn't seem to go as I have planned. I haven't been able to go out shopping for baby items yet (I thought of doing this last January) because we don't know the gender of the baby. Right now, all I could window-shop are any baby stuff that doesn't require the gender. Well, it might require for some but I'd like these items to be available no matter what the baby's gender is. Portia's Traveling Carrier

We couldn't bear to leave Portia behind during our trips so hubby and I brought her along. We made sure that she would go swiftly, comfortably and problem-free as possible during our flight.

My Tummy's Honeys

I am crossing my fingers for stretchmarks not to appear anywhere. I already have a few on my behind and I'm content with just that - thank you. Anyways, I would appreciate it so much if they would vanish but right now I'm hoping none would appear. I've been growing so much which means my skin's stretching as well. I have been researching on stretchmarks eversince I learned I was pregnant 'cause I soo want to wear two-piece swimsuits still.



I heard a lot about other products but only the Tummy Honey Butter by Mother's Intuition attracted me. I bought the prevention and the fading creams last December since I'm expecting to grow by January. I've been putting it on since then. Not religiously though. Lazy me!

My old stretchies aren't completely gone but they are fading little by little. I'm so happy!!! Oh, did I mention that the creams would also prevent itching? Very, very nice indeed! I'm only 6 months on the way so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Another thing that keeps my belly happy is the Baby Safe Bump Belt.



Keeps me comfortable and most importantly keeps the baby safe while I'm driving. I was able to use this during our Tagaytay road trip last December. What's so great about it is that it keeps the seatbelt low and not lying directly on the baby. Thus, if an impact would strike, the seatbelt would protect the mother but wouldn't harm the baby inside. Pretty cool huh!

Missing Prints

Last Saturday, I cleaned up our stove. I tried to remove the years of oil and dirt that has accumulated on our stove. The stove is one of the furnishings included with the pad we’re renting. Imagine how much dirt and grime there is. I used a steel scrubber. The one’s they use to scrub pans to make them shiny underneath. Problem is, it doesn’t have a handle. The result: my right thumb, forefinger and middle finger got scrubbed as well. I wish I took a before/after picture of the stove. They really look nice and almost shiny now.

When I got to work this morning, I went to our login computers to find out that the biometric scanner can’t recognize my fingerprints anymore! Jeez, that steel scrubber erased my fingerprints! It was a relief that it can still recognize my left forefinger. Whew! That was close!

Smart Lid

Have you ever sipped a hot beverage and found out it’s not yet cool enough? Well, the solution has already been invented. They call it the Smart Lid. It’s just a lid that will change its color when your beverage is cool enough to drink or when the lid has been properly put on. It is also made of recyclable material so it is environmental friendly.

Jojo and I love drinking coffee. Not to mention comparing how it tastes from one coffee shop to another. But we both hate having a burnt tongue. I wonder when this would be available here in Manila.
